For Teachers
Teachers work from four main areas: the Manage tab (the Teacher Hub), Connect (communication), Schedule (your teaching roster), and Progress (class analytics). The classes and subjects you can act on are assigned to your account by the administration.
The Teacher Hub (Manage tab)
The hub collects your daily tools in one place: Take Attendance, Assignments, Grade Book, Worksheet Generator, Word Lists, Manage Students, View Reports, Photo Albums, Communication, and Exam Schedules.
Taking attendance
- Open Take Attendance and select a class.
- Select the subject you are teaching (daily or per-period attendance, depending on school settings).
- Tap Mark All Present, then tap individual students to change their status: Present, Absent, Late, Excused, or Sick.
- Tap Save Attendance. If some students are unmarked, Qismi warns you before saving.
- Attendance can only be submitted for today — past days are view-only.
- Absences pre-reported by parents are labelled Pre-reported so you have context.
- Saving requires an internet connection.
Assignments
- In the hub, open Assignments and tap New Assignment.
- Select the class and subject, give it a title (e.g. "Exercises p.22–23") and a description with instructions.
- Attach files if needed, set a due date, and choose the audience: Entire class or Specific students.
- Optionally enable Send Push Notification so students and parents are alerted, then tap Create Assignment.
Afterwards, View Status shows completion at a glance ("12/25 students completed"), and each student has a per-assignment thread where you can review uploaded answers and exchange comments. Use Grade Assignments to review and grade submitted work.
Grade Book
- Open Grade Book and select the class, subject (and sub-grade such as Oral/Written where configured), and the grading period.
- Enter each student's score. The class average updates as you type.
- Use Save Draft to continue later, or Submit for Approval when done.
Important
Once submitted, grades are locked until an administrator reviews them. If the admin rejects a submission, you receive their feedback, can correct the scores, and resubmit. Parents only see grades after approval.
Grades can only be entered for the current grading period, which the administration configures.
Worksheet Generator
Create printable worksheets in minutes. Three ways to work:
- Classic builder: choose a grade level and one or more exercise types, set how many exercises per type, pick Mixed or Grouped presentation, optionally include an answer key, and Generate Worksheet to preview, print, or share.
- Generate with AI: pick subject, grade, and topic (e.g. "Addition with carrying"), the content type (Homework, Quiz, or Lesson Plan), the number of exercises, and the languages (Arabic, French, English, Spanish — bilingual output supported). Review and edit every generated exercise, choose a print template (Modern, Classic, Minimal), then print or share.
- Scan Worksheet: photograph or upload an existing worksheet. The AI detects the subject, grade, and exercise types; you confirm the details and ask for similar exercises, harder, easier, or different types. Good lighting and a flat page give the best results.
AI content
AI can make mistakes. Always review generated exercises carefully before sharing them with students. AI generations are limited per day and count against your school's monthly AI allowance.
Word lists (vocabulary)
Build vocabulary lists and assign them as practice.
- Open Word Lists and tap Create.
- Set a title, subject, and the source and target languages, then add word pairs — by hand or with Create from photo. Changes save automatically.
- Tap Assign, choose whole classes or individual students, optionally set a due date and instructions, and confirm.
Students practice the lists in six modes (Learn, Study, Quiz, Spelling, Strict, Match — see Chapter 5), and their results feed the class progress view.
Exam schedules
Teachers can prepare exam schedules for their classes: create a schedule (semester, assessment number, target classes), add exam items (date, subject, topics covered), and Submit for Approval. An administrator reviews it; if rejected you see their feedback and can Edit & Resubmit. Once approved, it is published to parents.
Photo albums
Create class or event albums and upload photos. Albums you create are submitted for admin review before parents can see them — you are notified when the album is approved or when changes are requested. Keep the upload screen open until all photos finish uploading.
Communication
From Connect (or the hub's Communication card) you can:
- Send class announcements to the parents and teachers of your classes.
- Create class events with optional RSVP tracking.
- Message parents, students, and colleagues, with attachments and voice messages. A built-in Translate & Send helper can translate your message before sending — useful for reaching every family in their language.
Schedule and class progress
- Schedule shows your weekly teaching roster, with a class switcher.
- Progress shows learning analytics for a selected class — activity, accuracy trends, and per-student progress from the Learn module.
Bus companion duty
If the administration marks you as a bus companion, a Transport area appears:
- Tap Start New Trip, select the bus and trip type (Morning Pickup, Afternoon Drop-off, Field Trip, Sports Event, Excursion, Other), and add a destination or notes for special trips.
- During the trip, mark each student as Boarded, Absent, or Waiting — or record an opt-out (sick, parent pickup, etc.). Use Mark All Boarded to speed things up.
- Need to reach a family? Call or WhatsApp the parent straight from the student row.
- Tap End Trip when done. Completed trips are kept in Trip History.
While a trip is live, parents can follow the bus and their child's boarding status in their own app.
